No. There's no subscription of any kind, now or later. Recordings save to a memory card in the feeder itself rather than to a cloud account, so there's nothing to pay for and nobody else holding your footage.
The feeder runs from the mains adapter, with a battery compartment that takes over the instant power drops. Scheduled meals still go out. You'll need 3 × AA batteries in place beforehand — they aren't included, so it's worth putting some in on day one rather than waiting until you need them.
Yes. It's dual-band, so it runs on 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Many camera feeders are 2.4GHz only, which is worth knowing if your router pushes everything onto the 5GHz band by default.
